Shri Arvind Rai is a very famous personality born in the locality of ancient Sarala Pitha. He was born in the village Baridia of Jagatsinghpur District in the year 1964, April 27. Father Shri Umakant Rai and Mother Smt Khiraprabha Rai. He holds a graduation degree in Education and law, and a master's degree in Odia. There after he was conferred with a prestigious Ph.D. for his higher research. After completing his educational carrier, he joined the Odisha High Court as a speaker. He had a great interest in story writing and bagged huge popularity and honor. He was awarded the "Best Young Talent Award" by the Odisha State Youth Welfare Council for his collection of short stories "Antaranga Manisha" published in the year 2000. Being passionate about writing, he served as editor-in-chief for a quarterly fiction magazine "Amari Gapa" published in 1986. Drishya Badluchi", "Chhai Leutani", "Bata Basaghara", "Pabnara Khela", "Samnare Sakala", "Nastalgia", "Andhar Jetiki Aalua Setiki", "Chal Ferijiba", "Badhila Nai", "Golam Nagar Ghoda" and many more remarkable literary creations. He was honored with the State Youth Award for his Lifelong contribution in the field of Literature, awarded in Jagatsinghpur Jila Utsab, Rajdhani Pustakamela Award, Advaitkatha Samman, Alaka Katha Samman. He made every Odia proud with his extraordinary contributions to society in the field of Literature.
